Do you ever ask yourself “Where can I sell my textbooks?” or “Where can I buy my textbooks?”. Well I want to answer those questions for you because when I was in college, I asked the same thing.

No one ever seems to know what to do with textbooks when they are done using them. Nor do they know where to find them for the cheapest price. You don’t want to go to your college book store because if you buy textbooks there, you will pay full price. On the other hand, if you sell your textbooks back to the college bookstore, you get almost nothing back.

So what did I do with my textbooks? Well, I searched and searched online for websites that would allow me to sell them for a decent price. I finally found one called Campusbookshelf.com. This site allowed me to list my textbooks for free at a price that I wanted to sell them for. If someone was interested in my textbooks they could contact me to negotiate the price if they thought it was too high. So it works both for the sellers of the textbooks and the buyers!

The site is also growing in the number of textbooks that they have available from students all over the U.S. So why not check to see if the textbooks that you need this semester are on there! If they are not, then campusbookshelf.com directs you to where you can find them at a cheaper price then your college bookstore.

So next time you find yourself thinking “What on earth am I going to do with my textbooks?” or “Where can I buy my textbooks other than my college bookstore?” remember that Campusbookshelf.com is the first place you should look!

Students, just because you got your textbooks paid for by your Student Loan, does not mean you have to buy or sell these textbooks back to the campus bookstore. Even if the money seems to be free it’s not and you can save a lot of money over time. So why give the money to the college when instead, you could be putting it back into your pockets. This extra money adds up over time and could help you buy other textbooks, pay rent, or even help you enjoy happy hour a little longer.

You will find by using the Campusbookshelf.com website, you will put up to 75% to 125% more money back into your pocket. Also, even though the textbooks seem cheap on this site, they are more than what you would have gotten from your local campus bookstore. Look at it this way; you save on both ends of the transaction, buying and selling, so your overall savings is much greater.

So don’t give your textbooks away by selling them back to your campus bookstore. Use Campusbookshelf.com, and the next time you get done with finals, you may find a little more money from your textbooks to use on those margaritas.

Are you tired of paying $150 for a textbook each college semester when there are places you can buy the same textbook for a lot cheaper? Wouldn’t it be nice to save more than 50% on your college textbooks for your next semester giving you extra cash to spend on something fun? Finding cheap textbooks is not that difficult after you search for a while. But you may be wondering where to find these cheap textbooks, and what to look for.

When searching for cheap textbooks, you want to look for the secondhand textbooks. Secondhand textbooks are textbooks that students have already used. The prices of secondhand textbooks can range slightly depending on the condition of the textbook. For example, a secondhand textbook in great condition will be more than a textbook in average condition. Secondhand textbooks can be categorized into several different conditions including: new, good, average, or poor. Depending on what you need and how much you are willing to spend, you can make a decision off of these four categories.

I do not want to confuse you and tell you to purchase secondhand textbooks at the college bookstore. College bookstores do offer secondhand textbooks to students, but you still might not be getting “cheap textbooks”. The college bookstores do lower their prices for secondhand textbooks but you (the students) are stilling getting scammed. The best place to purchase cheap textbooks from is the internet. To ensure that you receive your textbook before classes start, you should place your order a week or two ahead of time.

So where do you look on the internet to purchase a cheap textbook?

One website that is designed specifically for students to buy or sell their secondhand textbooks is CampusBookshelf.com. This website lets students list their own secondhand textbooks for free, while also letting them set their own price for that textbook. CampusBookshelf.com is a great website to find cheap textbooks, and allows you (the buyer) to purchase directly from the student while avoiding being a victim of the college bookstore scam.

If you have old textbooks lying around the house you have probably wondered many times; do these old textbooks have any value, or are they obsolete and is it time to throw them out? Well don’t throw them away because there is value, but is it worth it and how do you take advantage of it?

Well, you can search the many websites out there and pick one of them to try to sell your old textbooks on, but everything depends on their condition and the demand. There are even websites that will take your old textbooks free. But in both cases there are many stipulations that must be met before they will buy or take your old textbooks. And in many cases, the shipping cost will exceed the price they are willing to pay. So how do you get the best value for them? I have spent many hours looking through several websites and I believe this is the best website out there for you, Campusbookshelf.com.

On Campusbookshelf.com you, the seller have full control of the value you are looking for and there is no obligation or cost to use the website. Whether you’re looking to get cash for your old textbooks or negotiate the price with the buyer, you control the transaction.

How does this work or why would I list them for free?

Campusbookshelf.com is designed to put the control into the hands of the seller via email controlled through the site to protect them. The buyer and seller can negotiate all costs through this email. So everyone wins once the transaction is completed, as both have agreed to the value they are looking for.

Some other things to think about.

Now days there are professionals looking for reference materials, which will buy your old textbooks, but there is also value in listing them at no cost. How? By listing them free or just to cover the shipping cost you allow underdeveloped Countries, who cannot afford to pay much, the ability to purchase these old textbooks. To them these textbooks are advanced and key for their education system.

So there is no doubt to me that Campusbookshelf.com is the best textbook website out there. The site is free to use and worldwide. Try it out for yourself.

You’re caught looking at two textbooks that are exactly the same except for one detail; one is paperback and the other is hardcover. Which of these is a better choice? Unless the college or university you are attending has already made the decision for you, you could be pondering at this decision for a while. So where does a college student begin when choosing a paperback or hardcover textbook?

Price of the books

The first area a student might focus on is the price difference of the paperback textbook compared to the hardcover textbook. Hardcover textbooks are generally $20 to $40 more expensive than the paperback textbooks. So if you are looking to save money on your textbooks, purchasing a paperback textbook is the direction to go. However, do keep in mind that you will receive more cash back from a buyer for a hardcover textbook than you would a paperback textbook.

Durability

Paperback textbooks are cheaper than hardcover textbooks; however, they are not as durable as hardcover textbooks. From past experience, the cover page on paperback textbooks falls apart and eventually separates from the textbook itself because of the wear and tear from use. In addition, the outside cardboard on the hardcover textbooks act as protective cases for the textbooks, which make the pages last longer. This results in far less wear and tear on a hardcover textbook than a paperback textbook. If you are looking to sell your secondhand textbook at the end of the semester I suggest buying a hardcover textbook because the book will be in much better shape.

Portability

If your decision factor is heavily based on the portability of the textbook, you must look at two aspects. To lighten the load in your backpack, paperback textbooks are going to be your ideal choice. Generally, the hardcover textbooks are heavier because of the thick cardboard of the book. Furthermore, if you are tight for space in your backpack, paperback textbooks are usually thinner than the hardcover. However, if you are carrying your textbooks in your hand, you may want to think about purchasing a hardcover textbook because the paperback textbooks are not as sturdy. The paperback textbooks tend to bend on you and may give you some trouble while carrying several at a time in your hand.

The Decision

So, paperback or hardcover textbook? Overall, the final decision is the students’. If you’re the type of student who wants to save money and does not care how long the book will last, then purchase the paperback textbook. However, if you’re the student who can afford to pay a little extra and would like to sell the book after the semester for a reasonable price, than your best bet is to buy a hardcover textbook.

Isn’t it frustrating receiving two to 20 percent from your own college bookstore for your used textbooks? Agreed, receiving cash back right away for your used college textbooks is nice, but more and more students every year are getting annoyed of getting $15 back for a $100 textbook.

It is difficult for me to understand how students are willing to pay thousands of dollars a year to attend a college or university but they still become a victim of the college bookstore scam. Why is this?

Quoted from a customer of CampusBookshelf.com, “It doesn’t make any sense to me. I bought a textbook for $100 and at the end of the year the college bookstore only offered me $2 for my textbook. They could at least give me $50 because I know the college resells the book for $100 the next semester anyways. It’s a scam!”

This young student was offered $5 for a $100 textbook at a small private college in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Some colleges offer a free rental service for its students. For example, the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire offers its students a free rental service for its textbooks. Instead of paying $600 a semester and getting $90 back for their textbooks, the students walk away from not paying anything.

Even though this service helps out the college students there are not many colleges and universities that participate in this free rental service. In addition, I have heard from students that some colleges even have their own college name on the textbooks to make it harder for college students to sell on your online websites such as Amazon.com, or CampusBookshelf.com.

CampusBookshelf.com is developed to minimize your losses. This website enables you, (the student) to list your textbook for as much as you believe it is worth. It is your ultimate one stop shop for your textbooks. That is why I am a proud customer of CampusBookshelf.com. Do not let the campus bookstores scam you any longer, list your used textbooks on CampusBookshelf.com today and get the price for your book you deserve.

Campusbookshelf.com is a website specifically designed for College students by College students. These students were tired of getting ripped off or taken advantage of when buying or selling their textbooks through their local college campus bookstore. Their mission is to help all students and parents save money when purchasing or selling their second hand college textbooks.

This is a great website for college students and parents from all over the U.S. or even the World. Membership is easy and free. There is no cost for listing your second hand textbooks or buying new textbooks, and the website offers a wide database of textbooks for low or even cheap prices.

The designers of this website are obviously students, as they have a good understanding of what college students or parents of those students are looking for. Knowing that every penny counts when going through college, they designed this website such that; it’s easy to use and navigate through, they kept the site simple, the site is not cluttered, it focuses on new textbooks or second hand textbooks only, it provides students a way to purchase second hand textbooks for cheap prices, and it provides a means for students to sell their second hand textbooks for more than what their campus bookstore is willing to pay.

Here is one example that happened to me. I purchased a new textbook for $100 through our college bookstore and I kept the book in excellent condition. I then took it back to our campus bookstore at the end of the semester and they gave me $25 for it. They then turned around and put it back on the shelf for $85, what a rip off.

Parents and Students, Campusbookshelf.com is FREE to use and is the only website you will need for buying or selling your college textbooks. As a member you have the means to find any new or second hand textbook you’re looking for at a cheap price. Even if the website does not have the textbook listed, via one of its members, there are links available that will find the textbook for you.

If you are interested in getting textbooks at a cheap price or selling your second hand textbooks for more than what your local College bookstore will give you, then I highly recommend Campusbookshelf.com. It will save you time and more importantly dollars $$.

Parents and Students, college textbooks are not cheap, right? Wrong, you can save money on College Textbooks with little effort and here’s how. First you must stop using your local Campus bookstore immediately or limit it to those special or last minutes cases. These bookstores take advantage of you and make very large profits on both ends of the transaction, buying and selling.
You also need to avoid those companies that show up on Campus at the end of the Semester and give cash for your textbooks. This is a scam used to entice Students with quick cash, but at a great discount. The buy cheap and sell high. Remember these companies have to pay for all their travel expenses plus make a profit; a profit which can range from 50% and up. With little effort you can put extra money into your pocket or use it to purchase next semester’s textbooks.
Now how can you find cheap textbooks and save money each time you sell or purchase a textbook? Campusbookshelf.com is the key. This is a site developed to allow students to work together to get a better return on their textbooks and yet keep them cheap.
I know there are a lot of big name sites out there like Amazon and EBay, but they are big multi product sites that are not focused on the student only. Searching through all their products and categories can take time and be frustrating. I would only use these sites for special cases also. They will beat the prices from the local bookstore, but they cannot beat a website that is totally run by students, for students. Yes, the students or parents of students set the prices and negotiate the prices with each other on Campusbookshelf.com.
So what do you need to do? Simple, just go to Campusbookshelf.com and sign up as a member. Membership is free and only takes a few minutes. This website is unique, as it was developed just for students and only focuses on College Textbooks. The goal is to let students control the prices, keeping the textbooks cheap or inexpensive as well as saving a lot of money over the course of your college program.
So what effort is there in trying to save money on College Textbooks? Very little, you just need to register as a member and list your textbooks for the price you decide on. Then as a buyer you select the textbook you need, with the option to negotiate the price. It’s that simple. This is why I use Campusbookshelf.com. So if you also want to save a lot of money on textbooks don’t wait, register today.

Selling your used textbooks can be done in a variety of ways. A large amount of students just sell their used textbooks back to their campus but in general they don’t get near their true value by doing this. Some “wiser” students sell their textbooks on websites like half.com or amazon.com where they can usually get a little more money then they could from their school however they have to pay fees and a percentage of the price to either amazon or ebay.

So this leads a lot of students to try and sell their textbooks on the popular website craiglist. This seems like a good idea since craiglist is free and it’s pretty easy to use. However there are a few problems with trying to sell your college textbooks on craiglist.

Craiglist isn’t built for textbooks

Selling a textbook on craigslist is hard since most people who are using craigslist aren’t searching for textbooks. This leads to your ad likely falling to deep pages on the website and likely expiring before anyone is interested in purchasing the book. Also it’s harder to search for the textbook as you only have one search option using keywords where some students search by isbn numbers, author, ect. This could potentially lead to buyer not being able to find your book when they are truly interested in purchasing it.

Craigslist Scammers

Another problem with craigslist is that it is rampant with scammers. Craigslist is notorious for the amount of scammers who use the website. That’s why it’s imperative to not agree to any shipping or 3rd party purchase arrangements with someone who contacts you via craiglist.

Limited Market

Craiglist only allows you to search for products or books in your local area. If you have books which aren’t in extremely high demand chances are the ad will expire before someone in your city or town is looking for that specific textbook.

So students are in a tough spot. Either sell your book for less than it’s worth to a your campus bookstore or pay fees to sell it on a website like ebay or amazon.

That’s where campusbookshelf.com comes in. We are a free service where you can list your used college textbooks for sale and students from your university, a nearby college, or even from a different state (chances are if someone wants your book their going to find it.) This allows users to find the books and purchase them from you without any extra costs for you. On the website students can search by college, book titles, authors, isbn numbers or just about anything you can think of.

After finding the book the buyer can then contact you by filling out the form on your book listing page and you will receive an email from campusbookshelf.com letting you know that someone is interested in purchasing your book and information on how to contact them however you choose.

Hopefully this service will make it easier for students to get the amount of money they deserve for their books,

Are sites such as Amazon and EBay not allowing you to sell your old books because they are too out of date? I recently read about an individual who had an old textbook (from 2008) that they tried selling to Amazon and they wouldn’t buy it because of this sole reason. EBay and craigslist were also out of the question.

It seems that selling old books on these websites yourself would cost a small amount of money as well. Something like 10 to 15% of the sale price chosen. Are there sites out there that allow you to do this for free?

When looking for sites that allow you to do this, I found that most of them give you the run around. They don’t allow you to list for free but through some clever mixing of words they make you think you can. However, there was one site that does let you list your own textbooks absolutely free.

CampusBookshelf.com is a site that allows you to list textbooks for free and allows others to contact you directly through the site. Don’t hesitate to try listing your textbooks on it.
